VITASOY, A NEW SOLAR PROJECT FOR CMR

The Vitasoy project

Vitasoy has partnered with Universal Robina Corporation (URC) to build and operate a beverage factory in the Philippines. Their products include a plethora of drinks focused on sustainable nutrition, such as soy, coconut milk, almond milk, and tofu.

To reduce its electricity bill, Vitasoy decided to award this 21 kWp solar power plant to CMR Philippines, with the main challenge of delivering it in less than two months.

The installation is made up of around fifty 450 Watt photovoltaic solar panels, the latest generation of panels from Longi, a leading Chinese manufacturer. These solar panels are connected to an inverter to convert the energy from the panels into energy directly usable by the plant.

The 21 kWp solar installation will produce 31.5 MWh per year at the plant and will be monitored remotely by the CMR Philippines team under a maintenance contract with Vitasoy.

The next step is now to prepare and finalize a contract for an extension of at least 50 kW.

The realization of this solar has also been crucial in our ongoing discussions with the agro-industrial group of URC about several solar opportunities with the total capacity of 610 kWp.

This is in addition to the current tender of 6MW rooftop solar power for the flagship URC plants.
