Manufacturing Engineer

A. RFQ & Costing Support
• Review customer drawings and specifications for feasibility
• Support RFQ preparation through:
o Cost estimation (material + labour)
o BOM preparation
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for accurate quotation
B. Labour Time & Capacity Planning
• Calculate standard labour time for each process
• Conduct time studies and line balancing
• Improve productivity through process optimization
C. Tooling & Machine Selection
• Identify and define tooling requirements for production
• Ensure availability of:
o Crimping tools
o Cutting & stripping machines
o Testing equipment
• Support machine selection, installation, and validation
D. Drawing & Technical Understanding
• Read and interpret wiring harness drawings and layouts
• Analyze:
o Wire sizes, routing, connectors
o Length tolerance and assembly requirements
• Prepare process sheets and cutting charts
E. BOM (Bill of Materials) Management
• Prepare and validate BOM as per drawings
• Ensure correct component selection (wire, terminal, connector, etc.)
• Maintain revision control and update BOM changes
F. Production Process Planning
• Develop process flow charts & production layout
• Prepare:
o Cutting charts
o Process sheets
o Work instructions
• Ensure smooth material flow and process efficiency
G. Quality & Continuous Improvement
• Support quality team in defect analysis and root cause
• Implement Kaizen / Continuous Improvement initiatives
• Reduce cycle time, defects, and rework
• Participate in audits and ensure compliance with standards



Qualifications:- BE / Diploma in Electrical Engineering
Experience:- 1 to 6 Years
