The CMR Group company

OUR AMBITION: FACILITATING ACCESS TO THE ENERGIES OF THE FUTURE

How to summarize more than 60 years of history in a few lines?

Founded in Marseille in 1959, the CMR Group is a specialist in energy management: from the assembly of complex electrical harnesses for motors to the design of sensors for nuclear power plants, including the installation of control systems. energy on boats.

CMR now has more than 1,000 employees in 10 countries and continues to grow, notably by joining the American group Amphenol in 2023, leader in connectors.

Our customers have one major concern in common: sustainably reducing their carbon footprint. We support them with innovative solutions to optimize their energy.

How do we design work?

A player appreciated for its reliability, CMR encourages a culture based on high standards and kindness, implying respect for its customers and its employees. Diversity and entrepreneurial spirit have been part of CMR’s DNA since its creation and are values illustrated on a daily basis by our employees of 24 different nationalities within the group, 47% of whom are women. The HR policy promotes employee experience and skills development through different means : training but also coaching, mentoring, and national or international internal mobility.

1.1.1 Position and missions

We are hiring a Mechatronics Expert (permanent contract) for our headquarters in Marseille Château Gombert, as part of the development of instrumentation solutions (RTD temperature sensors, pressure sensors, and related instrumentation) for nuclear and defense applications.

You will be involved in designing, integrating measurement and data processing systems, and industrializing new products.

• 1. Mechatronics system design and development
• Define system architecture (sensors, acquisition, processing, display)
• Design assemblies integrating mechanics, electronics, and software
• Conduct technical and economic feasibility studies for existing or new products, in collaboration with sales teams

• 2. Sensor integration and instrumentation
• Integrate sensors (RTD, pressure, etc.) into complete systems
• Develop electronic interfaces and communication buses (CAN, Modbus, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with standards (nuclear, defense, CE, ISO)

• 3. Technical interface with production
• Work closely with production and methods teams
• Lead prototype validation (testing, robustness, repeatability)
• Ensure scalability from prototype to mass production
• Contribute to defining manufacturing and assembly processes

1.1.3 Skills and knowledge

With a Master’s degree (Bac +5) from an engineering school or equivalent, specializing in mechatronics, electronics, or embedded systems, you have significant experience of around ten years in a demanding industrial environment (ideally in the nuclear, defense, or instrumentation sectors).

You have a strong command of mechatronic systems, effectively combining mechanics, electronics, and software. You have developed expertise in instrumentation and sensor integration, along with solid knowledge of data acquisition and processing.
You are comfortable with programming, particularly in C/C++ and Python, and are proficient in industrial communication protocols such as CAN, Modbus, or Profibus.

You are also familiar with CAD tools such as SolidWorks and have a good understanding of embedded systems and supervision solutions.
You stand out for your systems thinking and your ability to navigate complex technical environments requiring strong cross-disciplinary integration.
You demonstrate rigor and high standards, particularly in regulated and critical contexts.
