French Maritime Days 2023 in
Saudi Arabia
with Business France

As part of its long-term development strategy to roll out 160 projects with high economic and environmental impact, the Saudi Arabian port authority is looking to partner with leading industrial players to transform Saudi ports into engines of growth and investment in the shipping and transport sectors.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is characterized by its strategic geographical location, overlooking the Arabian Gulf and the Red Sea, as a gateway, a connecting zone between three continents: Asia, Europe and Africa, and a major hub for commercial shipping. VISION 2030 has capitalized on these assets, building on the diversification of the non-oil economy by launching pioneering projects to achieve strategic objectives aimed at making the Kingdom a global logistics hub.

The Kingdom has 13 ports on the Red Sea and Arabian Gulf, handling 13% of world trade volume. Saudi ports handle 70% of the Kingdom's imports, and 95% of its exports, via 291 quays, with a capacity of 1.1 billion metric tons and 20 million containers.

During this trip, which brings together some 30 leading French companies, the country's authorities are opening the doors of their strategic ports to us. 2 major ports will be visited: King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam (east of the country) and the Islamic port of Jeddah (west of the country).

This visit is a great opportunity for CMR Group to meet and make itself known directly to the local business community. We hope that these meetings will open up many new opportunities for CMR Group in Saudi Arabia in the years to come.

Business relationships with this great country are built over the long term, but can be very strong.
