As part of strengthening our teams, we are recruiting for our Tunisian subsidiary a QHSE Manager:
As a #QHSE_manager your mission is to ensure that we operates in a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible manner, while also maintaining high standards of quality. This role typically involves overseeing and managing policies, processes, and systems that cover quality assurance, health and safety protocols, environmental sustainability, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Main tasks :
Ensuring Compliance : Oversee adherence to local, national, and international safety, environmental, and quality standards. Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, industry standards, and certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc...).
Risk Management : Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to quality, health, safety, and the environment. Develop strategies to prevent accidents, incidents, and environmental damage.
Improving Quality : Monitor and improve product/service quality. Implement continuous improvement processes and quality management systems (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
Promoting Safety and Well-being : Ensure a safe work environment by implementing safety programs, training, and guidelines. Track and report on safety incidents, conducting investigations to prevent recurrence.
Environmental Responsibility : Promote environmentally friendly practices within the organization. Ensure sustainable practices are in place, reducing environmental impact.
Training and Awareness : Develop training programs to ensure employees understand and follow QHSE policies and procedures. Foster a culture of safety, health, and quality throughout the organization.
Auditing and Reporting : Regularly audit and inspect operations to ensure compliance with QHSE standards. Generate reports on performance, incidents, and improvement plans for management.
Continuous Improvement : Work to continually improve QHSE performance by analyzing trends, conducting reviews, and making data-driven decisions.
Main precious skills and know-how :
Product Safety Standards: Knowledge of international safety standards for wiring systems, such as UL (Underwriters Laboratories), CE marking, and IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) standards.
Team Leadership: Ability to lead and train cross-functional teams, ensuring they understand and adhere to QHSE protocols.
Stakeholder Engagement: Strong communication skills to work with various stakeholders, including suppliers, regulatory bodies, customers, and internal teams.
Change Management: Ability to implement and manage changes in QHSE policies and procedures while ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
Technical Knowledge of Wiring Systems / Manufacturing Processes: Understanding of the various stages of wire and cable production (e.g., extrusion, insulation, coating, assembly), and how they relate to quality and safety standards.
Material Properties: Knowledge of the properties of materials used in wiring systems, such as copper, aluminum, polymers, and their impact on quality, safety, and environmental performance.
Testing and Inspection: Familiarity with testing methods for wiring systems, including electrical performance testing, insulation resistance, and durability testing.
Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement / Root Cause Analysis: Ability to identify the root cause of issues related to quality, safety, and environmental performance, using tools such as 5 Whys or Fishbone diagrams.
Continuous Improvement: Experience with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to drive continuous improvement in QHSE processes.
Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA): Ability to develop and implement CAPA to address non-conformities, safety violations, or environmental concerns.
Data Analysis and Reporting / Data Collection and Monitoring: Skilled in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting QHSE-related data, such as defect rates, safety incident reports, or environmental compliance data.
Reporting: Proficiency in preparing clear and concise QHSE reports for management, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders.
KPI Development: Ability to develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to quality, safety, and environmental goals.
Cultural Awareness and Employee Engagement / Safety Culture Development: Ability to foster a safety-first mindset across all levels of the organization.
Training and Education: Developing training programs to ensure employees are aware of safety practices, environmental impact, and quality control procedures.
Employee Engagement: Building a culture of continuous improvement where employees feel empowered to report safety hazards, quality issues, and environmental concerns.
Standards & Requirements (certification or clearance) :
• Great engineering school
• Fluent English
• 15 - 20 years of experience
