Positive Showings For CMR France in 2015

CMR France ended 2015 on a high with impressive profile raising activities and marketing of services for the marine, high horsepower engine and nuclear industries. The focus has been on international markets, particularly China, India and Korea.

Didier Briand, Managing Director at CMR France stated, "It has been a good year for CMR France. We have expanded the business in international niche markets despite tough trading conditions. Our products and services are in high demand, paticularly in the nuclear, engine and marine sectors. We have invested in our people, facilities, R&D and technical functions to drive the business forward".

CMR France has secured an order to supply our CLARINUXTM Integrated Alarm Monitoring Control Systems (IAMCS), for two customs patrol vessels for an important European customer. This has been undertaken in association with French customer and shipyard.

The company has also been complemented by the excellent progress in the supply of an Alarm Monitoring Systems (AMS), developed in Marseille and commissioned through CMR US for a customer in North America.

Many of the products manufactured by CMR France were shown at five international tradeshows during 2015:-  Seatec (Italy), Kormarine (Korea), India Nuclear Energy (Mumbai), High Horsepower Summit (Dallas) and Marintec, China.

At Kormarine held during October and Marintec in December, full CMR teams were in attendance including Didier Briand, Jeremy Nguyen, Alain Meslati, Sebastien Ozenda and Gerard Baldellou. CMR France are collaborating closely with the team from CMR Group Korea and CMR China to build the market for CMR products in Vessel Automation, LNG vessel monitoring systems, Nuclear products and Industrial Engine components.

CMR France was ‘instrumental’ in launching CMR’s K3ad nuclear sensor technology capability at the India Nuclear Energy (INE) Trade show in October 2015 in Mumbai. CMR's nuclear sensors are developed for K3ad environmental approval conditions for fluid, bearing and ambient temperature monitoring. The team at CMR France will also introducing the latest generation of K3-C3 electronic monitoring S-Units for specialist nuclear applications during 2016.

Sebastien Ozenda took advantage of this product launch with strategic visits to major players in India’s nuclear energy industry, to develop CMR’s supply of nuclear technologies.

Didier Briand followed up Sebastien’s visit by meeting with CMR’s Indian sales agent, Madhura International, alongside Mahesh Shinde of CMR India. Madhura will locate installations where CMR products are used and offer value-added services such as installation and supply for the aftermarket and retrofit market in HHP engines and the nuclear sectors.

November and December have seen some excellent media interest in new technology coming out of CMR France. Patrice Flot was featured in the December issue of Marine and Shipping magazine, discussing the developments, challenges and opportunities in marine sensor technology. Also, Ian Cameron, regional editor for Diesel and Gas Turbine Publications, visited CMR France in November to interview Patrice on global future trends and challenges in the HHP industry and how CMR is leaving behind the traditional TK sensor technologies by embracing cutting edge PT1000 and J1939 technology. Ian was also given a guided tour of CMR France’s offices, central purchasing and production areas.
